At The Leather Costume, every item is handcrafted exclusively for each customer. Because our garments are made to order and often customized according to individual specifications, our return policy differs from that of stores selling mass-produced inventory.

Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.


Custom-Made & Made-to-Order Products

All products sold by The Leather Costume are individually crafted after an order is placed. We do not maintain pre-made inventory, and every garment is produced specifically for the customer.

For this reason, standard returns and exchanges are generally unavailable. However, we stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship and are committed to resolving any verified manufacturing defects or production errors.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined in this policy.


Order Cancellation Policy

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase, provided production has not yet commenced.

After production has begun, cancellations, modifications, and change-of-mind requests cannot be accepted because materials and labor have already been committed to your custom order.

Sizing & Measurement Responsibility

Leather garments require accurate body measurements for proper fit.

Customers are responsible for providing correct measurements and carefully reviewing sizing information before placing an order.

To ensure the best possible fit:

  • Follow the sizing guide provided on our website.
  • Use actual body measurements rather than clothing sizes.
  • Double-check all measurements before submission.
  • Contact us if you require assistance before ordering.

Because every garment is made according to the measurements provided, we cannot accept returns or exchanges resulting from incorrect measurements submitted by the customer.


Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

Customer satisfaction is important to us. If you receive an item with a verified manufacturing defect, transit damage, or a production error, we will gladly work with you to resolve the issue.

Eligible claims include:

  • Manufacturing defects.
  • Incorrect color, style, or product due to our error.
  • Damage caused during shipping.
  • Missing components or hardware.

Issues resulting from incorrect measurements provided by the customer are not considered manufacturing defects.


Reporting an Issue

Any defect, damage, or incorrect item must be reported within 7 days of delivery.

Please include:

  • Full name.
  • Order number.
  • Description of the issue.
  • Clear photographs showing the problem.
  • Photos of the packaging if shipping damage is involved.

Items must remain unused, unaltered, and in their original condition while the claim is being reviewed.


Return Conditions

Where a return has been authorized, the item must:

  • Be unworn and unused.
  • Remain unaltered.
  • Include all original tags and packaging.
  • Be returned in the same condition in which it was received.

Unauthorized returns may be refused.


Replacements and Corrections

Whenever possible, our first priority is to correct the problem.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

  • Repair the item.
  • Produce a replacement.
  • Provide replacement components.
  • Offer another suitable resolution.

Refund Policy

Refunds are issued only when a repair or replacement cannot reasonably be completed.

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used during checkout.

Please allow:

  • 5–7 business days for processing.
  • Additional time for your bank or payment provider to post the credit.

Refunds are issued in United States Dollars (USD).


Non-Returnable Items

Because our products are custom-made, the following are generally not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Incorrect measurements supplied by the customer.
  • Change of mind after production has begun.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused by misuse or improper care.
  • Alterations performed by third parties.
  • Minor variations inherent to genuine leather craftsmanship.
